Utopian Society Project
In this project, we were assigned to create our imaginary perfect world that would be the best place for us to live in. But, a Utopian Society for one person is not a utopia for everybody. My group (Thea, Gi, and I) decided on making a perfect tree house town by the clear watered oceans in Greece that we all added our own 'utopian' ideas to. Not only did we make a painting on a poster to represent our Utopian Society, we also wrote about our society. You can read about it in the writing section. My favorite part of this project was designing the water and the houses.
Trans Saharan Trade Journal
If I could change one thing about this piece, I would have made a book out of the printed and old looking pages. It would have made it look more like a journal that traveled through the Sahara and was on a lot of adventures. My favorite line is, "My throat is as dry as the sand underneath my feet. My tongue is as rough as the Egyptian Cobra snake skin. The sweat dripping down my neck is as warm as a hot bath. This trip has been horrible so far!" (5). I hope that this adventure written in words will make you feel that you were traveling through the blazing sun of the Sahara as well!
Silk Road Adventure
This is a project we did while studying China and the Silk Road. In this piece I explain the pros and cons of the adventures of my caravan along the Silk Road. I like this piece because it is an animated and fun way to tell a informational "story". I hope you enjoy my animap!
Renaissance Revival Project
The Renaissance Revival project is seemingly the most alluring, engaging project that stimulates every student to take on their role as if they were bringing back the real person in history. I say this because it includes every fragment of social studies and language arts that is needed including informative writing, argumentative essays, as well as learning about the Renaissance. The writing portions in this project elucidates my abilities to describe details of a situation or item in a very distinct fashion.
